Apple Health, Strava, and GPS routes deserve privacy-aware imports

A route file can show where you live and work, where your kids go to school, when you travel and who you run with.

Routes are sensitive data

A GPS route shows where you start your runs, which roads you avoid, who you train near and how often you loop the same block. If an app imports your routes, how reliably it does that and who can see them are the same conversation.

CorrCoach uses your routes for workout review and planning. We never send them to OpenAI or Anthropic for model training. If an import can't finish, the app says so.

Apple Health permissions need a clear reason

Apple HealthKit asks permission one data type at a time. A privacy-aware training app tells you why it wants your workouts, routes, heart rate or sleep, and it skips anything it has no use for.

We use Apple Health and Apple Watch data to log finished workouts, read your readiness and adjust your plan. A rough night can soften today's session. A hard session can change tomorrow's. A route makes the review far more useful than a distance and a time.

Strava imports need care with duplicates and time zones

Strava brings in a lot of useful history, but the app has to catch duplicates, get time zones right and cope when a route is missing. A Sunday long run that lands on Saturday throws off your whole week's load.

The privacy rule is simple. Import only what the plan needs, keep routes inside your own account, and ask before anything appears in a social feed or a coach's view.

What we promise about route data

We care about route imports because a plan that knows about the hills, your effort and what you finished or skipped is far more useful than a blank calendar.

We keep improving how reliably imports arrive. The promise stays the same: your routes and wearable data inform your training, and they are not sent to OpenAI or Anthropic for model training.

Questions athletes ask

Why is GPS route privacy different from workout privacy?

Workout totals describe training load. A GPS route also shows places, routines and the people you train with, so storing, showing and sharing routes needs tighter controls.

Does CorrCoach use Strava or Apple Health data for outside model training?

No. CorrCoach does not send imported Apple Health or Strava fitness data to OpenAI or Anthropic to train their models.
